The last couple days of the Montana waterfowl season ended with a “bang” or we should say, many “Bangs”. A great Honker shoot for Nate and Chris, Mallard shoot in the Bitterroot Valley with Nate, Sam and Chris, then a last day quick Diver shoot on the Missouri River today with Sam, Chris and Suzy (Frosty […]
Suzy got her fill today fetchin’ some Mallards for Keith, Steve, Evan and Chris. They weren’t easy to get in but we finally got a few to commit!! Season ended today but starts again in a week here in Montana. Then it goes for more 5 days. Is that weird or what??
Chris joined boys from Game Trails Taxidermy for another late season Missouri River duck shoot last weekend. Suzy and Bailey did another outstanding job on some Mallards and Goldeneyes even in the cold temps and strong winds. Suzy’s new name is “Frosty Cricket” !!
Cold, Crisp morning hunting Honkers on Hank Jr’s place produced no birds after someone blew them off their Bitterroot River roost early. The awesome morning sort of made up for it as we still stuck it out for a couple hours hoping for a stray flock or two to pass by. Chris kept warm by […]
Chris and Nate went to a special Mallard hole on New Years Day and managed to wack a limit of birds in the ice cold Bitterroot River bottom in Montana! Bo, Nate’s 1 year old did a fine job on the retrieving end and every one went home happy. Nate’s wet feet ( no waders […]
Suzy has been getting her share of retrieving in her first year. After a good early season on Mallards and Honkers, we got her over to the Missouri River a few days ago. Lots of Divers – mostly Goldeneyes and lots of them! Many long retrieves downstream kept her busy for most of the morning […]
Abby decided to head over to the Missouri River with Mom and Dad today to try some of the great diver shooting it has to offer late in the season. She not only shot her first Goldeneye but it was the more rare “Barrow’s” variety. There are lots of Common Goldeneyes late but the Barrow’s […]
John and the guys just got back from Southern Alberta. Lots of Honkers and Mallards! Can’t wait to get back up to the “Great White North” ourselves!
Justin and “Ayla” returned from their Nevada Chukkar shoot and had a bang up time! Great hatch of birds this year with countless flocks in the cliffs. Here’s Ayla doing the thing she does best besides eating her “Puppy Chow”!
