While we were in Nebraska, Evan stayed at home in Montana and “howled in” a little magic on his own!! Nice going “E” !! The other wildlife thank you!!!
Autumn with her first buck ever. She went with Dad and got it done during Montana‘s recent “mentor” program which allows some of the younger kids to participate in the hunt as long as they’re with a responsible adult or mentor. The grin says it all!!
Kyle from Florence, Montana showed Dad, James, he could put a great shot on his first buck during Montana’s youth season. What a great start to a long hunting career!!! Nice goin’ Kyle!!
Justin did it again in his little elk hole. He started hunting elk 5 years ago and has stuck one 4 of those 5! I left him at 5:00pm near his spot and he called me at 7:30pm with the news he’d zipped one at 15 yards. Apryle’s just there for the packing!!
Tim from Florence Montana with his opening day , archery “Speed Goat“. Being the calm and collective guy that he is, he made smooth 68-yard shot with his new PSE bow. Nice shot!!
Evan had a big surprise on the trail camera he set up at his elk spot a couple weeks ago. There are actually 4 wolves in this shot when you look closely. Hopefully, there are still a couple of elk left!! Next time, maybe they’ll smile for the cross-hairs!!!
Got into one of the elk wallows last night and built a blind about 30 yds away hopefully, on the prevailing downwind side! Sat up a game cam. Saw a few good rubs too. It’s supposed to be hot this week so maybe we’ll get some good pics. Wallow had some good tracks around it.
A coming week of off and on evening snow flurries should improve the lion chasing over the next week. The good tracking conditions should start filling up some of the Montana quota areas. Want to get on a Big Mountain Lion, call us for the latest on whats happening on the Cougar trail!!
The last couple days of the Montana waterfowl season ended with a “bang” or we should say, many “Bangs”. A great Honker shoot for Nate and Chris, Mallard shoot in the Bitterroot Valley with Nate, Sam and Chris, then a last day quick Diver shoot on the Missouri River today with Sam, Chris and Suzy (Frosty […]
Suzy got her fill today fetchin’ some Mallards for Keith, Steve, Evan and Chris. They weren’t easy to get in but we finally got a few to commit!! Season ended today but starts again in a week here in Montana. Then it goes for more 5 days. Is that weird or what??
