Yucatan Tarpon on Isla Holbox
Fish for giant 100 lb.and larger Tarpon from a beautiful island on the north of the Yucatan peninsula. Fly fish or use conventional gear from pongas with very experienced guides and stay in a wonderful small lodge with one of the best hosts in all of Mexico. Hundreds of giant Tarpon pod up while migrating to the gulf between May and August making for some fantastic fishing with multiple hook ups daily. A five minute walk on the beach brings you to a quaint little village with several good restaurants and shopping after your day on the water. Fishing in other months besides the mid summer consists of cruising the mangroves looking for “Baby” Tarpon and Snook. Many different packages available including a very affordable couples trip!
